A Hero's Journey?

Can you hear me? I'm a voice in your head, you can choose to ignore me but that might get you killed. Or you could listen to me but that might also get you killed. I'm here only as a guide, you need to make your own choices in this world. I'm nothing more than a voice so I can't help you physicaly [[no<-no]] [[Yes<-Yes]]

Then why did you decied to play this game? why waste your time somewhere else.

Good, you have decied to be a hero, or have you. Now you need to go out and see the towns people since they have no idea who you are or where their old leader went. You will also have to gain thier trust, because they do not like your father after he went insane and trust me they do not want another leader like him. I suggest trying to talk to them first. They are important becuase if you don't have people to protect then whats the point. Now where do you want to go? You could [[the Village<-the village]] [[Your room<-your room]]

As you walk out of your home you see hundereds of people, you see the furious faces of evryone as they glare at you. You have nothing to say, you have no idea who any of them are. You feel surrounded you open your mouth to say something but before you can you get cut off by one the people "Who are you? What did you do to our leader!" How will you respond to this person? [[Be rude<- Rude]] [[try to explain<-explain]]

When ypu enter your room you start to hear a ruckus from outside

I'm Maxy, i'm the leaders daughter. He left us bceuase he didn't want to hurt anyone any more. I am in charge now, you will follow me and acceot me to be your leader. I don't care about what you think, you will accpet me and not say anything." "Yeah right, do you really think taht we would follow someone so blindly? Get out of here girl before we kill you." Said the same man who asked you the question. You Idiot! I told yopu that you had to gain their trust first, now look what you've done. Guess you have no option to but to leave now, kiss this village goodbye.

"I'm Maxy, i'm the leaders daughter. He left us bceuase he didn't want to hurt anyone any more. He has left me in charge. I know how my father treated evryone was awful and i'm truly sorry about what ever he did. I also know that since I am hios daughter it is going to be hard to trust me, but I will try my best to protect this village. It is my home as much as it is yours." "Well at least she's self aware. Maxy how will you prove to us that you are trust worthy. Like you said yourself, we do not want another leader like your father. He did many unspeakable things to this village. " But do not forget that my father is also the reason that many of you are still alive. Even though at times it didn't seem like it he truly did love this village. He left becuase he knew that if he stayed any longer he would end up failing you all." "She's got a point. All right we'll have you do three tasks for us then. Each requring one another to complete, and all of them being harder than the last. are you up for this challenge?" "smart girl, now lets see what they have to offer" That voice it sounds familiar, but you can't think whom it could be. You shake it off and prepare for the villagers to tell you your first task. "So your first task is to get a bow an arrow. But not any plain old bow and arrow, oh no this is a godly bow and arrow. It is said to be gaurded by the god of illusion but no one knows for sure becuase it could all be an illusion. Will you take this task?" You accept the villgers quest, but as soon as you do you feel the fear sink in and you think to yourself "what have I just done?" but withought thinking any longer you go and pack your bags and set off on a journey to get the bow and arrow. As your walking out the door the same villager that you were talking to approches youz "We have decied to give you a gift as. It means a lot to this village so will you take it?" [[accpet the gift->villagers good side]]

You say no the the quests. They kick you out and now you have no purpose. Nice going Maxy. [[Start over->the Village]]

You push on the gate with all your might, and to your suprise it opens. You are suddenly hit with a wave of fear, but you know you need to continue. You walk through the tunnel and after a while you see some light, you run towards it and suddenly you're in a maze. You know now this is where you'll find the god of illusion. Are you ready? [[Sign me up-> go foward]] [[What is this-> go back]]

You hear the voice again, but its just crizing you saying "why would you try and figure out the symbols, what tools, what books, do you have any sort of knowlage on this type of thing. Your not going to somehow figurout what they mean just by staring at them. You idiot, you ovbiously are not ready for this task." You feel excrusating pain, and then a sudden nubness. You have no control, you legs are walking out of the cave without your permission. You keep walking on forever.

You take the gift, it's a sowrd with your fathers name engraved on it. You stare at the magnifcent sowrd for what seems like years. You are entranced by the beautifle ruby on the handel of the sowrd. "Thank you so much for this gift. I will use this and bring it back to this place. I will not fail you like my father did." And with that you set off, you think your prepared for the jouney until the fear sinks in. You hear a voice but see no person, you go into a frenzy as the voice chant "useless, useless, useless, USELESS!" What will you do [[fight the voice->continue]] [[let it take over->fail]]

"Shut up" you think "Let me continue on with this jouney. Either leave me alone or actually help me." "Oh little girl, you know nothing. I only speak the truth, but with the occational lie. You're stuck with me, no matter how hard you try." The voice says. Its voice menacing, cold, but also soft with a touch of human-likeness. You keep walking an come upon a cave. What will you do [[enter the cave->level one start]] [[keep walking->level one fail]]

The voice continues, it doesnt stop. You just lket it happen becuase you think that its words are tryue. You feel excurating pain but then you feel nothing. You realize the voice has taken over and it can not be stopped now. Your mind is corrupted. You can not continue. Game over. [[Start over->the Village]]

You enter the pitch black cave, you can hear the ecchos of water dropplets hitting the floor. The cave is all of a sudden lit up and you see a path way, it is lit by piercing blue torches. You follow them through the cave until they ubruptly stop and t=you are presented by a gate with werid looking symbols on it. [[try and open the gate-> pass through]] [[try and figurout the symbols -> fail#2]]

You have passed the god, you have failed. Start over. [[Start over->continue]]

If you aren't ready then why did you even start this whole thing? Sometimes people confuse me. [[Start over->level one start]]

you wallk for a little bit. The maze is dark and creepy. No sense of direction, with no idea to go you need to make your first choice, will you turn left, keep walking, or turn right? [[left->start over]] [[keep walking->start over]] [[right-> next path]]

You keep walking, and now you are at the beging again. You have to start over. [[Start over-> go foward]]

You turn right and are met with your first enemy, before you can grab your sword it punches. How will you doge the punch? [[duck-> continue battle]] [[ jump->fail#3]]

You duck the punch and take your sword out of its sheath, You slash its chest. It screams in pain but you have to continue, you continue to dig your blood stained blade into its dying body. You know it's weak, only one more blow should finish it off. Where should you hit? Its heart or its head? [[heart-> Fail]] [[head->monster is beaten]]

When did you become a ninja? The monster slams you into the ground killing you. You have died. [[Start over->level one start]]

You slash open its skull, and its slumps to the ground. The monster has been beaten, howver it was not an easy task. You keep walking down the maze path, the maze seems never ending it feels like it's slowy closing in on you. Then you realize that it is. What will you do? [[Run!-> escaped]] [[stay put->gets crushed]]

You sprint as fast as you can. Most of your energy was exerted when you fought the bmonste buy yu still mange to pull through. You esacpe the cloing walls and stop for some air. "What was that?". Then you hear a sudden cackle, you now know that you're close to the God of illusion. You're met by another turing, left, right or continue walking? [[Left-> The first boss]]

You stay where you are and get crushed. You have been killed. [[start over->level one start]]

You make a sharp left, and now you're in a dark room. Its round and looks like it has no exits, before you can think anoyther word you hear a voice. It cackles again and you realize taht you have finally reached the end of the maze. Suddenly, a darlfigure appears and you know that it is the God of illusion. Without warning it gears up for its first attack. It jumps up into the air and becomes a black mist, it comes spiralling at you, what will you do? [[block-> get hurt]] [[try and fight it-> get hurt]] [[evade -> take no damage]]

You take damage, it hurts but you must continue. The god comes for another attack. What will you do? [[Attack the god now-> get hurt #2]] [[Wait for next attck-> take no damage #2]]

You evade the attack. The god stops for a second, and then gets ready.In that split second you realize that the only time that you'll be bale to attck is after he attcks. His attcks are powerful, bit are energy consuming. Whats your next move? [[Attack the god now-> get hurt #2]] [[Wait for next attck-> take no damage #2]]

You take even more damage, You feel your slef slowly dying. Here comes the god again with another attck. What will you do this time? [[Block -> Win the fight]] [[Attack->fail #4]]

You wait for the gods next attck, luckliy you don not have to wait to long before he comes for you. He summons swords and launches them at you. You know to dodeg them and you move ever slightly closer towards the god. HE stops for breath and this is shen you attck. You slash the god, temporaily making it loose its balance, you attck again and again. After a slah the god screaches in your face making you fall over. It jumps into its mist form and attacks you again. You're able to scurry backwards, beforew it can attck you gain. A voice speaks "you were grredy girl, take everything you do with caution, as one mistake could spell the end of you." Then the god comes upto you with a dagger in its hand, what will you do? [[Block -> Win the fight]] [[Attack->fail #4]]

You get hit again, You have taken to many hits and you fall to the ground. you have bee killed. [[Start over->level one start]]

You block the Gods attack, you blcok its attck for a while and see that there's an oppening to attack. You pull your sword away from the attck, and duck so you don't get hit. With all your might you dig your sword into the Gods heart, making the god collapse to the ground. The god evapporates into thin air, and when it has all gone you see a bow and arrow. You pick it up and hear the voices again " You have completed the first task, You have aquaried the bow and arrow of Artemis, a god's weppon. Use this wisely, continue on to your next quest. For your next quest you will come upon a house, enter it, and defeat the challens presented inside." [[Next jouney-> level 2 start]]

The room brighten ups and you now see an exit, you leave the room and see that you are now putside the cave. However the outside looks different, it is a forest with two paths in rounot of you. One of them is a gravel path while the other is dirt, which one will you choose to go down? [[Garavel path-> no enemy]] [[Dirt-> enemy]]

You walk down the rough path, it is long and full of twists and turns, Day turns to night, the sun light disapears and you are met with a house. It is strange and out of place, with it lookimng like its moving. You walk up to the door of the odd house and knock on the door, you get no answer. You decied after a while to go into the house, and once you enter the door slams shut. You look around, there are hundreds of closed doors, they're everywhere, there are three odd looking doors. One is green, the other is purple, and the last is red. Which door will you enter? [[Purple door-> fail #5]] [[Green door-> monster]] [[Red door-> portal]]

You walk down the dirt path. After walking down the path for a bit you run into a beast. You grab your bow and arrow just to test it out. You get ready to shoot and fire the arrow. The arrow kills the monster in one hit. [[Coninue down the path-> no enemy]]

You open the purrple door and step in. The room sets fir eand you are burnt alive. You have failed. [[Start over-> level 2 start]]

You open the green door There is massive green monster inside. You shut the door quickly. [[Go back-> no enemy]]

You enter the red door and you see a portal. It's black swerling hole, you sense its magic presence. You can sense Dangerous energy as well, but you also feel like you need to go through this portal. What will you do [[Go back to the other portals-> no enemy]] [[ Go through the portal->Room to boss #2]]

You enter the mysterious portal. Once you step through you start to fall. You feel like you're falling for an eternity. After what feels like days, you crash into solid ground, surprisingly it doesn't hurt. You stand up in what looks to be a bedroom, it has a massive bed and pictures all on the wall. The pictures are of old people but the more you look at them more and more it looks like they are staring directly at you, strangely there is just a painting of a torch in the corner. What will you do in this boring time? [[inspect the paintings-> figure out the puzzle]] [[inspect the bed-> nothing]]

You go up to the painting and look at it. It is of a creepy looking man, the body is cartoonish while the eyes look extremely realistic. After you see that the painting has a word on it the word is "under" "What could this mean?" you think, you go on to inspect the next painting. It has the word "torch" "torch, but there's no torch here?" You go on to inspect the last painting and the word is "painting" "What could all these words mean? "under, torch, painting?" You think to yourself, confused and frustrated with this puzzle. Then it hits you "Under the painting of the torch". You dash to the painting and look under it and there is where you find a key. Suddenly a door appears, you use the key to open the door and then you see it, a knight in shining armour. It comes charging at you, how will you act? [[Block->take damage]] [[Evade->no damage]]

You look at the bed, you tear it apart looking inside the pillows and tearing off the covers. You find nothing, you keep searching in hopes of finding something, but after completely destroying the bed you figure there is nothing. You go and inspect the creepy paintings instead. [[inspect the paintings-> figure out the puzzle]]

You try and block the knights attack, but it is to powerful. He pushes through your blocking and you take damage.

You dodge the attack, then the knight starts to speak "smart move" in a rough voice. You know the battle has to continue, you get ready for knights next attack. Your sword has turned black, it has been corrupted. "Ha, not much use for a corrupted sword, this fight should be easy. Come at me dumb girl." Says the knight, this fills you with rage "I have something else stupid, something so much more powerful than you. I don't need this little thing." You throw the sword to the ground and bull out your bow and arrow. "What will that flimsy thing do against me? every arrow will just shatter as soon as it hits my armour." "Are you sure about that?" You draw your first arrow, where will you shoot? [[Knee cap]] [[shoulder]]

You aim for the knee, the arrow piercing the knights armour. "Take that!" "What! How did that stupid thing get through my amour? Now you really got me mad" The knight comes running at you, but not as fast as before, the knights attacks have now become easier to dodge. The knight is closer now, What will you do? [[Dodge-> dodge #1]] [[Attack-> Attack #1]]

You aim straight for the shoulder, and the arrow goes right through the armour, making the knights arm to go limp. "What have you done? How did that stupid thing get through this armour!" the knight yells in agony. "scared of me yet" The knight puts his sword in his other hand, the knights attacks have become less powerful. The knight comes running at you at you what will you do [[Dodge]] [[Attack]]

You see now that the knight is weak and that you should of attacked. You have lost an opportunity to make the knight take damage.

You attack the knight, the knight swing is weak. You have obviously seriously injured him. The knight comes straight at you, and without thinking you hit the knight with your bow. you then back up and draw another arrow? This time you want to aim for a place that could finish him, so where will you aim? Head? Or heart? [[heart-> boos#2 end]] [[Head-> Boss#2 fail]]

You dodge the knights attack and get his other Knee makin him imobile. The knight cannot move. The knight throws his sword as a last ditch effort try and kill you. THe knight misses. The knight is so weak, the knight only needs one more hit. Where will you hit? [[heart-> boos#2 end]] [[Head-> Boss#2 fail]]

You attack the knight. The knights swing is still as powerful as ever and you get his again. However you still continue on with the battle. You shoot the knight over and over again getting the knight weak enough. The knight only needs one more hit, where will you get the knight? [[heart-> boos#2 end]] [[Head-> Boss#2 fail]]

You aim right at the knights heart. The beautiful arrow heads straight towards your target and hits it. The knight drops to the floor, hand clenching at his chest. "How did you defeat me! You are nothing but a stupid girl!" "Well I did beat you so I am obviously more than just a 'stupid girl'." The knight is silent, then dies. The knight's body leaving this world except for a piece of armour, the chest piece. You take the knights armour and then you hear the voice again, "Good, you have won the second challenge, only one more to go and then you could prove yourself to the village. The last challenge is called the arena, it is where you will have to fight off the most powerful warriors known to man. Take that portal, and finish the task." [[Walkthrough portal-> Level three start]]

You aim for the head, and the arrow just ricochet's off the nights armour. it bounces back and hits you in the heart. Killing you. You have been killed. [[Start over-> level 2 start]]

You walk through the portal and step out to find that you are in a room with weapons. You don't take any, as you have your bow and arrow. The gate opens up and you step out. Then a voice bellows, "Welcome to the arena. Today you will be fighting the hoard. These are our champions, lets see what you've got." Then when the announcer was done, almost as if it was planned, the hoard comes rushing out. Quickly You draw three arrows in your bow and hit some but more and more keep coming. One of the enemy's has snuck up from behind you, and you quickly turn around to face the monster. What will you do? [[Attack-> kill#1]] [[Dodge-> Fail #6]]

You grab your bow and jam it into the eye of the monster, it drops dead and then another one comes. You shoot and arrow kill one, then another. But so many are coming that just killing a coupe doesn't mean anything. "Think Maxey, think..." "Think is what inside of you Maxey, think of your potential. Think of the gift your father gave you." Says a voice. You think hard about all the good times that you had, ad all the bad. Filled with all these emotions you feel something else creep up, the darkness. You can't let it win but you know that it will always be there. You think even harder, until something amazing happens, you unlock your powers. The powers of light and darkness. You take your fathers corrupted sword and make it new again. With both the powers of light and darkness what will you do? [[Stop time]] [[Explosion-> kill a few ]]

You try and dodge the monster, but there are so many around that they knock you off your feet. They kill you swiftly. You have died. Try again. [[Start over-> Level three start]]

With all your power, you are able to stop time. Killing the monsters one by one. You almost kill them all until time comes back. One is left, and it transforms into A massive monster. The beast roars, this is the actual battle. What will you do now? [[Attack the monster]] [[Wait till he attacks]]

You conjure up an explosion Killing a few at a time. You do this till there is one left. Out of now where the last monster transforms into the masiive beast. You know this is what the fight was actually leading up to. What will be your first move? [[Attack the monster]] [[Wait till he attacks]]

You go for the monster, launching yourself at him with your sword, where would you like to hit the monster first? [[Eye]] [[Gut]]

You wait for the monster to attack. After a while of weird staringat each other you know that you have to take the first move. [[Attack the monster]]

You aim for the monsters eye, blinding it. Its attacks have become less accurate. It swings its arms in hopes of finding you but it can't. It then starts to use magic sending lightning bolts down to try and hit you. How will you counter? [[Attack with sword]] [[Attack with bow]]

You am for the monsters gut, and stab it, not much happens. You gain no advantage. you gear up fpr another attck, what wepond would you like to use? [[Attack with sword]] [[Attack with bow]]

You grab your sword and shove it through the monsters think sikn. You take a lot of jabs until the monster swings back. he knoecks you back, and you come running at him. He moves his hand and shatters your sword with a lighting bolt. You are forced to use magic now, what will you use? light or dark magic? [[Light magic]] [[Dark magic]]

You grab you bow and arrow launching a flurry of arrows at the monster. The monster is seriously injured, he only needs one more attck. You want to use magic to see if you can still contorl it? What magic will you use? [[Light magic]] [[Dark magic]]

You do not have enough energy for light magic. The dark magic has taken over and you have no choice but to use dark magic for this big of an attack. [[Dark magic]]

You send outa wave of darkness. The entire arena is pitch black. Then you see the monsters corpse on the floor. The darkness took control of him and now all he leaves behind is a magic book. You pick up the book and see that it is all about how to control and use magic. Once again you hear the somewhat fimilar voice again," Good job, you have deafted the monster. Go home to the village and show them all of what you have done. You will go home a hero. Weather or not you stay one is your choice." [[Go back to the village]]

You return to the village. The repared sword in hand, your bow on you back, your chest piece on and the spell book in you only free hand. The villgers see you, suprised taht you have returned tehy say, "We didn't think that you would make it back. You have even brought back the sword. Thank you hero, now you may be our leader. We should throw a celebration." "Thank you kind sir, i will lead the place into glory." You say. "When do you want the festival?" Asks the villiger. When will you have it? [[I don't need one, I did this for you all]] [[Why don't we have one after sun down?]]

The villager thanks you, and goes on his way. You have won over the villages trust. Good job THE END

"Sounds good, i'll go tell everyone to get stuff ready!" He scurries off and tells everyone about what you ahve done. The day goes by quicly and before you know it, is it time for the festival. You have fun getting to know everyone. Good job hero, you have gained everyones trust and respect. Go on and lead your village. THE END
